Greetings Loyal Laughers,
2020 has been a year for the books! In my case, that book has been my journal. I can’t believe the types of things I’ve been documenting. Painful lows, huge shifts in my scope of work, AND highs I would have never believed were possible during such a challenging year for planet Earth.
The thing that has gotten me through the toughest times, hands down, has been finding a reason (sometimes forcing myself) to laugh. Even something like a silly meme.
Happiness is a craft we must dedicate our lives to. It’s not always easy. It IS always possible to find something, however small, to be grateful for that should make us smile. If that singular thing is that we live in an era of indoor plumbing, so be it. What a miracle of technology that we can stay inside our warm homes and have our crap taken away with a single flush!
Admittedly, during some of the VERY difficult periods of my life these past couple of years, I barely had the energy to find happiness inside myself, let alone pour it out into the world – and that’s something I’m deeply passionate about.
Well – I’m back. In every way I CAN be truly BACK to me…I totally returned to my maiden name last month and feel like my life has run full circle and I feel as spicy and sassy as I did the last time I bore this name TWENTY YEARS AGO.
And I’ve waded through some tricky and emotionally taxing and time-consuming things. The focus is back. Back to my community. My craft. And my desire to sprinkle something fun and sometimes informative into your email box each week-ish, with my newsletter, The Weekly Chuckle.
You can subscribe for The Weekly Chuckle to keep up with lots of local comedy shows, workshops, silly memes, and messages from Yours Truly that tie improv skills to everyday life.
Wishing you well, and thank you for being part of my journey!
